A new study shows that stars may keep spinning fast even at the end of its life. Before this, scientists thought that stars seemed to not spin as fast as it got older. Recently, astronomers spotted a star that was old, spinning way faster than they thought it would for its age. Scientists have used the speed of the star’s spin to gauge the age in the past, but it shows now to be inaccurate. After the scientists studied it more, they came to realize that a young star’s spin rate was very wobbly and uneven. For the medium-aged stars, they think that it becomes evener. Now we are pretty sure that the speed of the sun doesn’t really judge the age.
